HOW TO PLAY JACKS OR BETTER VIDEOPOKER

To attain the highest-ranked poker hand. The payoff for each hand is displayed on the Video Poker machine face.
TO BEGIN

To begin playing, simply choose what denomination of coins you wish to use, ranging from 5 cents ($0.05) to 5 dollars ($5.00).

Deposit coins into the machine by clicking on the Coin Slot or the Bet One button. You can bet up to five coins per hand. If you click the Bet Max button you will wager 5 coins, and your hand will automatically be dealt. Note: there is no need to click the Deal button.

LET’S PLAY
Jacks or Better Video Poker uses a 52-card deck that is re-shuffled after every hand.

Once the cards are dealt, you may select up to 5 cards to keep or hold by clicking on the card face or on the hold button directly below the card.

Once you have selected which cards to hold, click on Deal and the remaining cards will be exchanged for new cards.

After this second deal, you are paid out based on the rank of the resulting poker hand.

Poker hands are valued based on their five-card ranking
Cards are ranked according to the value of the number on the card or the value of the face.
The ranking, from highest to lowest, is Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2. The Ace can also be used to complete a low straight; A, 2, 3, 4, 5. In addition to numbers and faces, there are 4 different types of suits that are used to determine the value of a poker hand. These are Spades, Clubs, Diamonds, and Hearts.
